Google released a new update this week allowing advertisers to import goals set up in Analytics into AdWords. This goes a long way in helping to simplify the conversion tracking process and to enable advertisers to optimize towards a CPA (Cost per Acquisition) target using the Analytics goals. If you’re already have an AdWords and Analytics account, linking up the Analytics goals with your AdWords account is really simple using the following steps:
Step 1: Log into your Analytics account
Step 2: Click on Edit your Account

Step 3: Under Google Analytics Data Sharing Settings –> Select Share my Google Analytics data… With other Google products only
Step 4: Save Changes and Finish
Step 5: Log in to your AdWords Account
Step 6: Under Tools –> Select Conversion Tracking

Step 7: Click on Link your Analytics goals and transactions
Step 8: Select the Analytics Goal which helps you track your CPA –> Rename the AdWords Action Name to something you will recognise as a goal –> Press Link
Following these short steps you should successfully be able to import your Analytics goals into AdWords, enabling greater measurement of the performance of your PPC campaigns.
