Insqribe: A part of the social-mobile future

I met with Danny Housseas last week to discuss everything from mobile to social.  What I didn’t realise is just how far the technologies had been coming.  Danny and his team at Insqribe had just announced a
new platform
 release
 of
its
2D
Barcode
Campaign
Management
and
Analytics
platform, with a great selection of new offerings.

Now since joining the team at Switched On Media I’ve become more and more amazed about the power of insightful data – the way this affects not only things like story telling, but also the way it enables users themselves to make better decisions about what they’re doing – and more socially, what their friends are doing. The Insqribe platform

  • Real time mapping integration;
  • Access to mobile carrier agnostic user behaviours;
  • SMS Reader download application;
  • A simple desktop application designed for quick on the go desktop publishers; and
  • A built in mobile site design and creation module allowing any organisation to quickly build a mobile site.

It was the mapping that really got me: imagine running live events, music concerts and advertising campaigns with one of these under the hood.  The mobile device is by far the most personal piece of technology each of us own.

What mobile will mean to social is big. Very big.
