Background/Context
rogenSi is a global consultancy firm providing business training solutions to help companies and their employees gain leadership skills and drive sales and growth for the business. Unfortunately, in 2009, inadequate website construction and a lack of any online search marketing efforts meant that rogenSi was not effectively driving its own sales and business growth online.
Keyword research indicated that there were over 180,000 searches for specific rogenSi services in July 2009, yet the company was missing out on these potential sales due to its poor visibility and rankings in search results.
The Challenge
rogenSi had all the business knowledge to provide exceptional services to its clients, and wanted to ensure people knew all about the services they offer. Their objectives were simple – to rank well in search results, and to drive traffic to their website in order to increase conversion rates in the form of both enquiries and sales of their training programs.
Switched On Media’s Strategy
With a new website in the works, rogenSi approached Switched on Media to help them employ an effective digital marketing campaign.
Switched on Media’s strategy would involve two phases.
The first involved collaborating on the new website to ensure it was search engine friendly. Switched on Media offered insight and guidance as to how to construct and build rogenSi’s website so that it would be picked up more effectively by search engines.
The second phase was designing and implementing an ongoing SEO and paid search campaign to further drive traffic to the website. From April 2010, Switched on Media conducted a full SEO audit and implementation scheme, which would involve a paid search trial and an SEO link building campaign to deliver increased rankings, traffic, leads and sales over a sustained timeframe. Paid search ads were placed strategically and updated daily to reflect trends in highest performing search terms.
Results
As a direct result of the campaign, rogenSi effectively increased its online search visibility, and continues to rank well in searches for business-related training courses. The changes made to its website effectively placed them higher in search results, resulting in increased traffic, and the 10-month paid search trial was also highly successful.

- Number of visitors to the website via SEO increased on average by 114% between July 2010 and April 2011.
