Google has announced that human beings are to be trialled to edit the Google News section of its site, sending a shockwave through the internet.
The search giant is yet to issue an official cause for the decision to replace Googlebot, but some industry experts speculate that the recent leak of embarrassing video footage of the algorithm crawling “questionable” online content so frequently could have something to do with it.
Googlebot, the algorithm being replaced, was reportedly outraged at the decision but has declined to comment at this time.

It’s a relief that we have this new tool to alert us to a mounting national lexical catastrophe. Apparently six months ago, Australians almost universally decided to misspell “accommodation” and forget that there is a double “m” – at least if they’re looking to holiday in Goulburn.
